Dynamic Weather

Let the weather move with the world. Dynamic Weather uses GTA V’s in-game calendar, time and your location to produce evolving seasonal conditions across Los Santos and Blaine County.

A changing climate

• Warmer, drier summers and cooler, wetter winters follow the game calendar.
• Wetter coastal/northern areas, a drier desert and cooler mountain elevations.
• Possible morning coastal fog and dry afternoon city smog.
• Moving fronts evolve even while you stay in one place; travel changes conditions gradually.
• Storms develop through clouds, overcast, rain and thunder before clearing.
• Wind changes smoothly with gusts. Weather transitions last 90 seconds, with a 20-second stability period.

The weather HUD

A compact display beside the minimap shows the current weather, estimated temperature in °F and wind in mph. F10 shows or hides the HUD without stopping the simulation. Dynamic Weather works independently of In-Game Date.

The controller releases weather control during supported missions, cutscenes, character switches and player death. Built-in defaults need no Settings.ini. Front progress is retained in scripts/DynamicWeather/ClimateState.txt between sessions.

This is procedural game weather, not a live forecast or a reconstruction of historical real-world conditions.

1. Close GTA V and install Script Hook V plus a compatible ScriptHookVDotNet 3 build.
2. Copy DynamicWeather.dll from the archive into GTA V/scripts. Back up and replace an older copy; avoid duplicate versions.
3. Restart Story Mode. The simulation starts automatically; press F10 to toggle only its HUD.
