Meet Jason and Lucia: what Rockstar confirms about GTA VI’s leads

Checked October 13, 2026. GTA VI’s central pair are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar’s published biographies give us a useful starting point without relying on plot leaks.

Jason Duval

Jason grew up around criminals, spent time in the Army, and now works with drug runners in the Keys. Rockstar presents his relationship with Lucia as a potentially life-changing turn.

Lucia Caminos

Lucia learned to fight from her father. An attempt to protect her family led to imprisonment in Leonida; she is now free and pursuing a better life. Her mother’s hopes, rooted in their earlier life in Liberty City, help explain that ambition.

What this tells us—and what it does not

These are confirmed character backgrounds, not a mission walkthrough. A biography is useful context for trailers and screenshots; it does not establish every playable mechanic, story outcome, or relationship choice. Treat detailed mission lists circulating without an official source as unverified.

For newcomers, the most useful distinction is between a character fact Rockstar has published and an interpretation of promotional footage. We will keep that distinction clear as further announcements arrive.
