Copyright & DMCA Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
WreckD respects the intellectual property rights of creators and takes copyright complaints seriously. This policy explains how rights holders can report allegedly infringing material and how uploaders may dispute a copyright takedown. Our United States notice-and-counter-notice process is intended to follow 17 U.S.C. § 512, where applicable.
User content and responsibility
Users are responsible for the files, images, descriptions, comments, and links they submit, including obtaining the permissions needed to publish them. Uploading a mod does not establish ownership of the underlying game assets or third-party work. Users must not upload material that infringes another person’s rights.
We provide a platform for user submissions; those submissions do not necessarily represent our views or carry our endorsement. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim liability for unlawful user submissions. This statement does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, replace our legal obligations, or guarantee eligibility for any statutory safe harbor.
Reporting copyright infringement
A copyright owner or authorized representative may submit a report below or contact our designated agent using the details provided on this page. Identify the protected work, the exact location of the disputed material, your contact details, and your signature. Confirm your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized and the accuracy and authority statements requested in the form. Consider applicable permissions and exceptions, including fair use, before submitting.
Review and removal
We review copyright notices promptly and seek clarification when needed. When a notice substantially satisfies applicable requirements, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the uploader. A removal is a precautionary action, not a determination by a court that infringement occurred.
Counter-notifications
An uploader who believes a removal resulted from an error or misidentification may submit a counter-notification using the form below. Include the material and its former location, your name, address, telephone number, signature, and the sworn belief and federal-court jurisdiction declarations shown in the form. We will forward a qualifying counter-notification to the original complainant.
Under the applicable DMCA procedure, access is restored between 10 and 14 business days after receipt of a qualifying counter-notification, unless our agent first receives notice that the complainant has filed a court action seeking to restrain the disputed activity. Administrators review this process; submitting a counter-notification does not automatically restore a file. Independent violations of site rules may require separate action.
Repeat infringement and abuse
We maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of repeat infringers. We may also restrict access or remove material when warranted by the circumstances. We accommodate and do not interfere with applicable standard technical measures for identifying or protecting copyrighted works. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notification may result in liability for damages, legal costs, and attorneys’ fees.
Handling your information
Contact-form submissions are emailed to WreckD LLC at ryan@wreckd.net. The website does not create a copyright case record from this form. Information necessary to process a claim may be shared with the affected uploader, original complainant, legal advisers, or authorities as required by law. This may include your name, contact details, and statements. Do not include unnecessary confidential information. We retain case records as reasonably needed for handling claims, disputes, and legal obligations.
