Installing mods

Start with the instructions and compatibility details on the release page. Different packages can require different installation steps.

How do I install a mod from WreckD?

In Installing mods

Open the release page and read its Overview, Requirements, Installation and Compatibility sections before downloading. Check the supported game, edition, platform and game build. Make a backup of files the installation will change, install the listed dependencies, then follow the creator’s steps. Test one new mod at a time so you can identify conflicts. The Help library and getting-started guide provide additional guidance.

How do I know whether a mod supports my game?

In Installing mods

Match the release’s game, edition, platform and build requirements to your installation. GTA V Legacy and Enhanced are separate editions; Story Mode and FiveM packages are not interchangeable. A download being available does not mean it supports every edition or build. If compatibility is unclear, ask the creator in the release’s support area before installing.

Do I need Script Hook V, ScriptHookVDotNet or OpenIV?

In Installing mods

Only install the tools and dependencies required by the particular release. These are not universal requirements for every mod. Read the Requirements and Installation sections, check the requested versions and use the dependency sources identified by the creator. Do not assume that a tool or dependency for one game edition will work with another.

Where should I copy the downloaded files?

In Installing mods

There is no single installation folder that works for every package. Follow the paths and installation method given on the release page or in the included instructions. A script, vehicle package, archive replacement and FiveM resource can require different steps. Do not copy an entire archive into your game folder unless its instructions explicitly say to do so. Keep your original files and follow the creator’s uninstall instructions when removing a mod.

Can I use these mods in GTA Online or on any FiveM server?

In Installing mods

Treat a Story Mode release as a single-player mod unless its page explicitly identifies another supported platform. Keep single-player modifications out of GTA Online. FiveM resources must be installed for the correct framework and used with the relevant server owner’s permission and rules. WreckD’s community rules prohibit publishing cheats for online multiplayer games.

What should I do if a mod does not load or the game crashes?

In Installing mods

Check the supported edition and game build, required dependencies, installation paths and any known conflicts. If the problem started after adding a mod, use its uninstall instructions to remove that change and test again. Restore your backup if necessary. Report the mod version, game edition and build, dependency versions, steps to reproduce the problem and any relevant error message in the release’s support area. Remove personal information from logs before sharing them.

Publishing mods

Publish work you created or are authorized to distribute, with accurate compatibility information and clear release notes.

How do I publish a mod?

In Publishing mods

Sign in, complete the required account setup and verify your email, then choose Publish. Select an available game and category, add the release name and description, and complete the compatibility and installation details. Add appropriate screenshots and the release package, then review the publishing options before submitting. Game permissions, submission availability and account restrictions can affect which choices are offered.

What am I allowed to upload?

In Publishing mods

Upload your own work or content you have permission or a license to redistribute. Credit alone, a public download link or a matching creator username does not establish permission or ownership. Keep required attribution and license information, describe included dependencies accurately and label adult content where appropriate. Do not upload malware, stolen content, online multiplayer cheats, private information or misleading paid listings. Use the ownership-claim process for an existing imported release instead of creating a duplicate claim.

Which package and screenshot formats can I upload?

In Publishing mods

Release packages accept ZIP, RAR, 7Z or OIV files, up to 400 MB per package. Screenshot uploads accept JPG, PNG or WebP images, up to 2 MB each, with a maximum of 18 screenshots. Check the publishing form for the current limits and requirements. Packages are queued for VirusTotal analysis, so keep passwords, API keys, private correspondence and other confidential files out of the archive.

Why is my release or update waiting for approval?

In Publishing mods

Publishing review depends on your account’s permissions and publishing status. A pending release is not a public approval, and a newly uploaded version may need review and package checks before it becomes the current download. Your existing approved download can remain available while an update is reviewed. Follow any review notes and provide the requested information; do not submit duplicate releases to bypass the queue.

How do I publish an update and write its changelog?

In Publishing mods

Open your release’s version manager and choose Add new version. Enter the version and relevant compatibility details, upload the new package and describe the changes. The changelog editor offers Added, Updated, Improved, Fixed, Removed and New tags. Choose a tag for the current line and write one change per line; Preview shows the published formatting. Upload a new version rather than replacing an existing published version record.

Why can’t I select a game or category for publishing?

In Publishing mods

Game and category choices depend on submission availability, catalog permissions and your account. A game may appear on the site before it accepts uploads. Categories classify the release within its game; they are not a way to bypass a game’s restrictions. Choose the correct available game and category. If you believe a choice is missing in error, contact WreckD with the release details instead of uploading it under an unrelated game.

Accounts

Manage your sign-in, profile and community preferences from your account settings. Never share passwords or verification codes.

How do I create an account and verify my email?

In Accounts

Use the registration page when new registrations are open and provide an email address you control. Complete the verification instructions sent to that address before using features that require verification, such as publishing and public reactions. If the message is missing, check your spam folder and use the available verification controls in account security. When registration is paused, existing members can still sign in.

I forgot my password. How do I recover my account?

In Accounts

Choose Forgot your password? on the sign-in page and follow the account-recovery process using the email associated with your account. Check your spam folder if the recovery message does not arrive. Do not send your password, verification codes or recovery links in a comment or support post. If you cannot access the registered email, contact WreckD and explain the problem privately.

Can I sign in with Google or link it to an existing account?

In Accounts

Use Google sign-in when it is offered. To connect Google to an existing WreckD account, sign into that WreckD account first and use the account-linking controls. A matching email address alone does not merge accounts. WreckD’s own account-security and two-factor requirements still apply. WreckD does not need your Google password, Gmail messages or Drive files for sign-in.

How do I change my avatar, bio and profile details?

In Accounts

Open your account settings and select the profile controls. Update the fields available to your account, check their visibility and save your changes. Some profile details are public, while private account or payout information is handled separately. Do not put confidential information into a public biography, profile link or other public field.

How do I follow creators and control notifications?

In Accounts

Use Follow creator on another member’s profile or follow a release to keep track of its updates. Your account’s Following and notification controls let you review followed content and manage available notification preferences. Email digest choices are separate from simply following a creator or release; review the digest settings if you want email updates.

Why can’t I publish, react, send messages or access a feature?

In Accounts

Check whether your email is verified, your account setup is complete and the feature is available for your account and selected game. Features can also be paused or restricted by moderation or site permissions. Read any account notice or review reason. If a decision appears incorrect, use the available appeal or contact route and provide the relevant details. Creating another account is not a way to bypass a restriction.

Payments

Purchases, donations, creator earnings and subscriptions have different purposes. Review the price and terms shown for the transaction you are making.

How do I buy a paid mod, and which payment methods are available?

In Payments

Sign in and open the release’s purchase controls. Review the listed price, compatibility, license and checkout terms before choosing an offered payment method. WreckD uses Stripe and PayPal, but only methods currently available for that checkout are shown. If purchases or a payment method are paused, return later or contact support. Never send card details in comments or messages.

I paid, but my purchase still says pending. What should I do?

In Payments

Payment access is granted after the payment provider confirms a successful payment. A checkout return page or an approval screen alone is not proof that fulfillment has completed. Check your Purchases library and the status shown by the provider. Avoid paying again while an existing payment is pending. If the status does not resolve, contact WreckD privately with the order or transaction reference and release name.

Where do I download a mod I have already purchased?

In Payments

Open Purchases & downloads from the account menu while signed into the account used for the purchase. Confirmed purchases appear in that library. Availability still depends on the release’s current status and applicable safety or legal restrictions. A purchase does not authorize redistribution or sharing of the package. If a confirmed purchase is missing, contact support with its order reference.

How do I ask about a refund, duplicate payment or billing problem?

In Payments

Contact WreckD through the private contact route and include the order or transaction reference, release name and a clear description of the problem. Do not post payment details publicly or send a full card number, card security code or password. Refund eligibility and handling follow the applicable purchase policy and original payment provider. Your statutory rights are unaffected. Canceling a subscription renewal does not itself issue a refund.

Is a donation the same as buying a mod or subscribing?

In Payments

No. A paid-mod purchase provides the license and access described at checkout. A donation to a creator is separate from a mod purchase. Confirmed support paid to WreckD can qualify for the site’s donation-supporter perks, under the supporter rules. A recurring membership renews according to its plan. Check which action you are choosing before paying; one type of payment does not automatically create another.

How do I enable paid releases and receive creator earnings?

In Payments

Use the Creator and earnings areas in account settings to review the current enrollment, terms, private payout setup and review requirements. Paid listings and payouts depend on eligibility and provider availability; submitting a price alone does not enable sales or payouts. Review the displayed fees, recorded earnings and payout rules for your own account. Never place payout credentials or confidential financial details in a public release or profile.

Subscriptions

A subscription is a recurring membership. Read the plan’s price, billing interval and included perks before agreeing to subscribe.

How does recurring subscription billing work?

In Subscriptions

A subscription repeats the displayed price and currency at the plan’s stated billing interval until renewal is canceled. Review the exact plan details and recurring-billing consent before continuing to Stripe or PayPal. Membership is linked to the WreckD account used to subscribe, and paid perks begin only after payment confirmation. A provider return link by itself does not activate membership.

How do I subscribe, and why might signup be closed?

In Subscriptions

Open the subscription plans page and choose an available plan while signed into a verified, eligible account. New signup must be open, and the plan and payment provider must be ready. If signup is closed or no plan is listed, a new membership cannot be started yet. Existing subscribers can still open Membership & billing to review their records and available management controls.

What does a subscription include?

In Subscriptions

The plan lists the perks included in that membership. Plans can include ad-free browsing during the paid membership and an optional profile badge. A subscription does not automatically include paid mod licenses, staff or moderation permissions, publishing exemptions, XP or spendable WreckD Credits. Existing game and category permissions and account restrictions continue to apply.

Where do I manage my subscription or cancel renewal?

In Subscriptions

Open the account menu, choose More account options and select Membership & billing. Your membership record shows its provider, status and paid-through date. Use Refresh status to check confirmation with the provider. To stop future renewal, open Cancel renewal, review the information, confirm the choice and submit it. Canceling renewal does not issue a refund; recorded paid perks normally remain until the paid-through date, subject to refund, dispute or account restrictions.

Will editing a plan change an existing membership’s price or perks?

In Subscriptions

An existing membership keeps the price, currency, billing interval and perks recorded when it was started. Changes to a plan apply to future signup. Pausing a plan prevents new signup but does not automatically cancel existing subscriptions at the payment provider. To end your own renewal, use the cancellation controls for your membership rather than assuming a hidden or paused plan has canceled it.

Is a recurring membership required to keep donation-supporter perks?

In Subscriptions

No. Donation recognition and recurring memberships are separate. Under the current supporter rules, confirmed donations to WreckD can provide supporter status and ad-free access without a recurring fee or scheduled expiry. Refunds, reversals or fraudulent donations may cause those donation perks to be removed. A membership’s own perks follow its confirmed paid-through date; canceling it does not by itself remove an independently confirmed donation-supporter entitlement.
