Publishing safely

Publish work you created or are authorized to distribute. Do not submit malware, stolen or pirated content, cheats for online multiplayer games, harassment, impersonation, private information, or misleading paid listings. Describe requirements and compatibility accurately. Label adult content appropriately.

Review and trusted publishing

Ordinary new listings and changes require review. Eligible trusted creators may publish approved categories of new listings and detail changes immediately, subject to staff review and reversal. New package versions submitted by members require review even when the creator is trusted. A completed safety scan does not replace moderation or guarantee safety.

Actions and appeals

Moderators may review listings, versions, videos, comments, and reports. Administrators manage roles, ownership transfers, and release removal. Authors can withdraw their own listings, but cannot erase financial, moderation, or version history. Decisions should include a reason where applicable; use the appeals page to challenge moderation. A different staff member reviews an appeal against your own decision where the workflow permits.

Communication

Replies and mentions must be relevant and respectful. Do not spam messages, reports, or ownership claims. Authors and staff can pin one comment per release and choose to feature it above the tabs. A pin or feature is not an endorsement of external claims.

Private messages are accessible to participants. Reporting a message shares that message and the report with authorized staff; it does not provide unrestricted access to the rest of the conversation.
